Grand Pentecost flea market in one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, at the foot of Lavardens Castle
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Every Pentecost Sunday, the village of Lavardens (32360), classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, opens its medieval streets to antique dealers and treasure hunters. The Pentecost Flea Market is one of the flagship events of this village perched on its rocky outcrop, in the heart of Gersois Gascony. Stalls are set up in the cobbled streets, in the squares, and at the foot of the majestic Lavardens Castle, creating a unique treasure hunting route.
The Lavardens Castle, a classified historic monument built in the 17th century on the foundations of a fortress of the Counts of Armagnac, dominates the village with its imposing silhouette. During the flea market, visitors can take the opportunity to discover the castle and its contemporary art exhibitions (ceramics, painting, sculpture), open from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The proximity of this exceptional monument gives the flea market a rare cultural dimension for such an event.
Lavardens is a castelnau—a fortified village built around its feudal castle—that has preserved its rampart remains, its stone houses, its narrow streets, and its church. Once the military capital of the Counts of Armagnac, the town has passed through the centuries preserving its medieval character. This remarkable architectural setting, located 20 km northwest of Auch, makes it an ideal place for a stroll and treasure hunting during Pentecost.
The Pentecost Flea Market of Lavardens is part of the tradition of spring car boot sales and flea markets that liven up the villages of the Gers region as soon as the weather improves. The event attracts exhibitors and visitors from all over the department and beyond, seduced by the beauty of the site and the quality of the items offered: antique furniture, earthenware, books, paintings, decorative objects, curiosities, and collector's items are found alongside classic car boot sale finds.
The Pentecost Flea Market is held on Pentecost Sunday in the village streets and at the foot of the castle. Entry is free for visitors. The village is accessible from Auch via the D930 towards Condom, then via the D103. Free parking at the entrance of the village.
ℹ️ 2026 edition unconfirmed. At the time of our editorial verification (May 2026), no public source (organizer, Lavardens town hall, tourist office, flea market aggregators, local press) announces a 2026 edition of the Brocante de Pentecôte in Lavardens. The Lavardens town hall only publishes on its website the report of the 2025 edition (Pentecost Sunday 2025) without any announcement for the 2026 edition. Please note: the date previously listed on this page (Sunday, June 7, 2026) does not correspond to Pentecost weekend 2026, set for Sunday, May 24, 2026. If you are a member of the Comité des fêtes de Lavardens and an edition is indeed scheduled, please do not hesitate to inform us via the modification form for this page.
The Lavardens Pentecost Flea Market is an open-air flea market traditionally organized by the Comité des fêtes de Lavardens in the village streets and at the foot of the Château, in Lavardens (32360, Gers). Lavardens is one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France (Most Beautiful Villages of France) and the event annually attracts bargain hunters, antique dealers, and individuals from Gers and neighboring departments, who enjoy the exceptional setting of the village and the art ceramics exhibition offered concurrently at the château.
The 2025 edition did take place on Pentecost Sunday 2025 (report and photos published by the town hall). As of our editorial verification date (May 2026), the organizer has not yet communicated about a 2026 edition: neither the town hall, nor the Château's website, nor flea market aggregators (brocabrac, vide-greniers.org) mention a 2026 date. For information, Pentecost weekend 2026 falls on May 23-24-25 (and not early June as this page previously indicated).
