The Sewing and Crafts Flea Market of Wissembourg is an institution in the world of amateur and creative sewing. Organized by the Patchouli association for 17 years, it takes place each spring at the Espace Louise Weiss, a modern municipal facility at 2 rue des Ecoles. On Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., fabric and craft enthusiasts can find real treasures, often offered at very low prices by seamstresses and creators who are clearing out their stocks.
The event attracts nearly 40 exhibitors from all over Alsace (Wissembourg, Strasbourg, Drusenheim, Keskastel...), but also from Doubs, Vosges, Moselle and even neighboring Germany. This cross-border dimension makes the richness of the Flea Market, offering visitors an exceptional diversity of materials and styles. Fans of patchwork, embroidery, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, card making and needlework will find what they are looking for in a warm and passionate atmosphere.
Visitors can discover a huge variety of fabrics of all kinds: printed cottons for patchwork, raw linens, Alsatian kelsch, upholstery fabrics, jerseys, silks, velvets, cotton canvases. The stalls also offer yarns, sewing and embroidery threads, vintage and modern buttons, fine laces, ribbons, charms, beads, trims, zippers, sewing patterns, sewing books and much more. Another appreciated service: a sewing machine repair person is on site and offers their services to visitors.
Entry is free and the Espace Louise Weiss is wheelchair accessible, with parking nearby. Volunteers from the Patchouli association provide refreshments with coffee, drinks and homemade pastries throughout the day. Wissembourg, a medieval town of 8,000 inhabitants located on the German border in northern Alsace, is an exceptional setting for this day of creative bargain hunting. Its half-timbered houses, Saints-Peter-and-Paul abbey church, ramparts and charming pedestrian town center invite visitors to extend their stay after the Flea Market.
