Fabric, haberdashery and creative hobbies sale in Montélier, Plaine valentinoise
Every year in May, the village of Montélier hosts its Puces des Couturières, a specialized event dedicated to the world of sewing, haberdashery, and creative hobbies. This type of event, rare in the Plaine valentinoise, attracts fabric and needlework enthusiasts from all over the Drôme region.
You can find everything for lovers of thread and needle: fabrics by the meter, spools of thread, antique buttons, ribbons, zippers, vintage patterns, used sewing machines, sewing books, and handmade creations. The sale takes place in a spirit of reuse and circular economy, allowing unused supplies to find a new life in expert hands.
Montélier is a rural commune in the Plaine valentinoise, between Valence and Chabeuil. Its dense and committed associative fabric animates village life throughout the year with various events. The Puces des Couturières are part of this tradition of village animation that enriches local life in rural Drôme.
The event is open to everyone: individuals wishing to sell their surplus haberdashery, sewing enthusiasts looking for bargains, or simply the curious discovering the world of textile arts. The friendly atmosphere and the expertise of the exhibitors make this day a moment of exchange and transmission of artisanal know-how.
