The Puces Couturières of Trélazé, as part of Malaquais en Fête
The Puces Couturières of Trélazé are part of the major local event Malaquais en Fête, which animates the Malaquais neighborhood of the town. This specialized event brings together enthusiasts of sewing, embroidery, knitting, and all textile creations in a dedicated market, allowing them to find materials, accessories, and unique second-hand or directly sold creations.
The exhibitors offer a wide variety of items related to the world of sewing: fabrics by the meter or in remnants, notions and haberdashery, buttons, laces, trims and passementerie, threads of all kinds, sewing patterns, specialized magazines, used sewing machines and accessories, as well as finished handmade creations (clothing, bags, jewelry, decorations).
Malaquais en Fête is an associative and popular event that animates the Malaquais neighborhood of Trélazé. Within this festive framework, the Puces Couturières naturally find their place, attracting an audience of textile and handmade creation enthusiasts who also benefit from the other activities of the neighborhood festival. The event contributes to the cultural and social vitality of a residential area of Trélazé.
Trélazé (49800) is a commune in Maine-et-Loire directly adjacent to Angers, east of the prefecture. Historically known for its slate quarries — which supplied the roofs of Anjou and France for centuries — Trélazé is today a dynamic residential town with a rich industrial heritage, now highlighted by the Slate Museum.
