Grand end-of-summer flea market organized by the Foyer Rural de Briod
Every last Sunday of August, the village of Briod hosts its annual flea market, a large-scale flea market organized by the Foyer Rural. With around 120 exhibitors and several thousand visitors, the event has established itself as one of the key end-of-summer gatherings in the Jura.
The stalls at the Briod flea market offer a wide variety of items: antiques, flea market furniture, old tableware, trinkets, books, records, vintage toys, and everyday objects. The mix of professional dealers and private sellers guarantees a diverse offering and prices for all budgets. 2-meter pitches are available with free parking nearby.
The Foyer Rural goes all out for catering: refreshment stand, snack bar, wood-fired pizzas, ice cream, and meal platters. Enough to spend a full day between treasure hunting and gastronomy. The volunteers ensure a warm and friendly service.
Briod is a village of about 300 inhabitants located on the first plateau of the Jura, between Lons-le-Saunier and Poligny. This peaceful village, surrounded by meadows and forests, is known for its Gallo-Roman heritage and its caves. The annual flea market is an opportunity to discover this charming village and its surroundings, in the heart of the Jura vineyards.
