Port d'Aziré is an emblematic Marais Poitevin landing stage in the Vendée, in Benet commune. One of the historic access points to explore the Venise Verte by flat-bottomed boat, navigating the canals and ditches of this timeless landscape. Each summer, a flea market is held on site, enjoying the unique marsh setting.

2025 edition: Sunday 6 July 2025. New 2026 edition expected in July per annual rhythm (exact date TBC). The event is known for its exceptional setting, letting hunters combine bargains with a waterside walk — a rare experience in the brocante world.

Benet and the Venise Verte

Extending the day

After the market, a boat ride is a must. Boatmen share marsh history, show wildlife (herons, dragonflies, frogs) and demonstrate "fire on the water" — a spectacle due to methane from canal bottoms. Maillezais and abbey 15 min, Damvix and Arçais 20 min.
