Each year in June, the Jean Jaurès and Maréchal de Saxe avenues of Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt transform into a vast open-air flea market. The Plaisir de Chiner event invites residents to set up their stalls on the sidewalks to offer trinkets, art objects, second-hand clothes, and children's toys to strollers and bargain hunters.
A residential town at the southern gates of Blois, Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt benefits from a pleasant living environment between the Cosson valley and the forest of Blois. Its tree-lined avenues offer an ideal setting for this type of sidewalk flea market, popular with families and Sunday strollers.
