The placomusophile exchange fair of Saint-Victor-sur-Rhins is a unique event for collectors of muselet plates and champagne caps. Organized by the association of placomusophiles of Saint-Victor, it is held at the village gymnasium from 8:30 AM to 6 PM. Free entry and tables. Exchanges only, no sales.
Saint-Victor-sur-Rhins, a small town in the north of the Loire in the Roannais region, hosts an exchange fair for placomusophiles every spring. These passionate collectors meet at the village gymnasium to exchange muselet plates, those famous caps that adorn champagne and sparkling wine corks.
The unique feature of this fair is that it is exclusively dedicated to exchange: no sales are allowed. Collectors bring their duplicates and leave with new pieces to enrich their collection. This format promotes conviviality and sharing among enthusiasts, whether they are seasoned collectors or simply curious individuals.
Entry is free and exhibition tables are provided at no cost. A meal is offered at lunchtime by reservation. The association of placomusophiles of Saint-Victor has been organizing this event for many years, helping to keep this original and little-known collection alive.
