About Oppède Flea Market
Every spring, Oppède hosts its flea market on the Place de la Mairie, in the heart of the village overlooking the Calavon plain. Between cobbled streets, olive groves and stunning views of Oppède-le-Vieux, this gathering brings together bargain hunters and residents for a Provençal morning of conviviality, typical of the small villages of the northern Luberon.
A flea market at the foot of a legendary hilltop village
Oppède, tucked against the northern face of the Petit Luberon, is inseparable from Oppède-le-Vieux, its ruined medieval village which is among the most spectacular perched sites in Provence. The flea market takes place in the modern village, around the Place de la Mairie. Far from large urban fairs, this gathering focuses on proximity: people come as much to hunt bargains as to greet their neighbours.
What you will find
The flea market brings together private sellers from the village and surrounding towns. Stalls offer clothing, children's toys, books, tableware, linens, Provençal knick-knacks, garden tools and small furniture. Seasoned hunters sometimes spot interesting pieces: Apt earthenware, old Luberon postcards, rustic kitchen utensils.
Oppède-le-Vieux as a backdrop
It is hard to visit Oppède without extending the outing to Oppède-le-Vieux, one of the most photographed sites in the Luberon. The old village, abandoned in the 19th century and rediscovered by artists in the 1940s, offers breathtaking panoramas over the vineyard plain and Mont Ventoux.

The Oppède flea market will take place on Sunday 7 June 2026 on the Place de la Mairie, in the village at the foot of Oppède-le-Vieux. Open to the public from 8 am. Mostly private sellers, convivial Provençal atmosphere in the heart of the Luberon. Free admission.
