The Monteux Sporting Moto-Ball Club is not an ordinary sports club: it is one of the French standard-bearers of moto-ball, an improbable mix of football and motocross where players on specially prepared motorcycles must send a large ball into the opposing goals.

Monteux, fireworks capital and moto-ball land

A dynamic town in Comtat Venaissin (about 12,000 inhabitants), Monteux is world-famous as the French capital of fireworks, thanks to the Ruggieri firm. It is also one of the rare French towns where moto-ball is still practised at a high level.
