About Easter Flea Market Morestel

The Morestel Easter Monday flea market has been an unmissable event in Nord-Isère for over twenty years. Organized by the Solifrat association, it takes over the Place des Halles and the Grande Rue of this medieval town at the gates of Bugey. Professionals and individuals mingle along this picturesque treasure hunt route. Food and drinks available on site in a festive spring atmosphere, with exhibitors setting up from 6 am.

The Easter Monday Flea Market: A Tradition of Over Twenty Years

Every Easter Monday, the streets of Morestel transform into a giant flea market. For over two decades, the Solifrat association has organized this flea market, which has become a staple in the calendar for treasure hunters in Nord-Isère and Bugey. The event takes over the Place des Halles and the Grande Rue, the historic arteries of this charming medieval town.

A Treasure Hunt in the Heart of a Medieval Town

Morestel, nicknamed the "City of Painters," offers a remarkable architectural setting for this open-air flea market. Stalls line the Grande Rue, bordered by old houses, creating a picturesque treasure hunt route that appeals to both lovers of antique objects and Easter Monday strollers. Professionals and individuals share the spaces, offering antiques, second-hand goods, tableware, trinkets, books, and collectible items.

A Solidarity Organization

The Solifrat association, which organizes this event, is committed to a solidarity approach. The profits generated by the event contribute to financing the association's social actions. Registration is mandatory for exhibitors, and setup takes place between 6 am and 7:30 am. The courtyard of the Victor Hugo school also hosts some of the stands.

Morestel, at the Gates of Bugey

A commune of about 4,500 inhabitants, Morestel is ideally located at the borders of Isère, Ain, and Savoie. The town, which has inspired many painters—hence its nickname—boasts a rich architectural heritage with its medieval houses, its tower, and its picturesque alleys. The Easter Monday flea market is an opportunity to combine treasure hunting with heritage discovery in an exceptional setting.
