Stamp, postcard, and postal history fair in Montlucon
The Montlucon Philatelic, Stamp, Postcard, and Postal History Fair is held annually at the end of May in the Espace Boris Vian. From 9 am to 6 pm, collectors of stamps, old postcards, and philatelic documents meet to exchange and enrich their collections. This specialized event attracts philatelists and postcard collectors from the Allier region and neighboring departments. Free admission.
Montlucon is the sub-prefecture of the Allier department and the second largest city in the department. The Espace Boris Vian, located at rue de l'Hermitage, regularly hosts cultural and association events. The philatelic fair finds a suitable setting here for exchanges and sales between collectors.
The fair offers a wide range of collectible items: stamps from France and around the world, old and modern postcards, postal history documents (postmarks, postal slogans), first-day covers, and historical letters. Old postcards from the Allier and Bourbonnais regions are particularly sought after by local collectors.
Unlike general flea markets, the philatelic fair attracts a knowledgeable audience. Exchanges between collectors, discussions about rarities, and discoveries make this day a special occasion for enthusiasts of philately and postcard collecting.
Montlucon Philatelic Fair 2026. Saturday, May 30th, Espace Boris Vian, 9 am-6 pm. Free admission.
