Grand spring flea market in the streets of Montlucon
The Brocante de Printemps de Montlucon takes place on the second Sunday of April in the streets of this sub-prefecture of the Allier, from 8 am to 6 pm. Montlucon, the second largest town in the department with its 35,000 inhabitants, offers a remarkable medieval urban setting dominated by the castle of the Dukes of Bourbon. This spring flea market is distinct from the Grande Braderie and the Puces Montluconnaises. Free entry.
Montlucon is the second largest town in the Allier and the sub-prefecture of the department. The town has an exceptional medieval center: the medieval city, perched on the hill overlooking the Cher, preserves the castle of the Dukes of Bourbon, the church of Notre-Dame, the church of Saint-Pierre and a maze of narrow streets and half-timbered houses.
Montlucon is a city with a dual face: medieval with its upper town, industrial with its past linked to metallurgy and rubber. This duality is found on the stalls of the flea market, where one can find both antique objects and testimonies of the local industrial heritage.
The spring flea market takes over the streets of the city center, between Place Notre-Dame and the main boulevards. Bargain hunters wander among the stalls in an urban route that allows them to discover the varied architecture of Montlucon, from medieval houses to Haussmannian buildings.
Montlucon spring flea market 2026. Sunday, April 12th, 8 am-6 pm. Free entry.
