Montlhéry: medieval tower and legendary circuit
Montlhéry is an Essonne commune of around 6,500 inhabitants, famous for two landmarks. First, the Tour de Montlhéry, a 12th-century medieval keep dominating the Beauce plain. Second, the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry, a legendary speed circuit opened in 1924 where major world speed records were set by Bugatti, Citroën, Renault and Peugeot.
