Recurring flea market on the banks of the Seine in Fontaine-le-Port, from June to November 2026
In Fontaine-le-Port (77590), the banks of the Seine come alive every month during the warm season with a recurring professional flea market. From June to November 2026, dealers gather on the fitted-out site at 20 Quai René Richard to offer the public their selection of antiques, curiosities, and collectibles. A monthly rhythm that builds loyalty among both bargain hunters and village regulars.
Six dates punctuate the season: 27 June, 25 July, 22 August, 26 September, 24 October, and 21 November 2026. Each rendezvous is an opportunity to discover new pieces, as dealers refresh their stalls between editions. This regularity allows collectors to follow the evolution of the market and to watch, month after month, for the piece missing from their collection.
The market site is one of its major assets. Set up on a grassy plot right on the Seine, it offers a peaceful, bucolic setting that stands apart from urban flea markets. Visitors browse between covered wooden stalls and outdoor spaces, enjoying a privileged view of the river and its banks. The atmosphere evokes the old guinguettes on the Marne and the Seine, popular leisure spots dear to the collective memory of ÃŽle-de-France.
The flea market brings together professionals and semi-professionals who offer a wide range of items: furniture of all periods, tableware (porcelain, crystal, silverware), paintings and prints, antique jewelry, books and documents, old toys and games, vintage clothing, lamps, militaria, and rustic or refined decor. The variety and quality of pieces attract not only private collectors but also decorators and dealers looking to restock.
A few kilometers from Fontainebleau, its forest, and its château, Fontaine-le-Port is an ideal stop to combine bargain hunting with tourism. After the flea market, visitors can extend their day with a walk along the Seine, a hike in the forest, or a visit to Napoleon's imperial château. The village itself, peaceful and leafy, is worth a detour for its old houses and church.
The flea market is held on the last weekend of each month, from June to November, on the banks of the Seine. Admission is free for visitors. Refreshments and food are offered on site, allowing lunch in the rural setting. Access is via the quay, parking nearby.
