Monteils, a small village just 3 km from Caussade in the heart of Quercy caussadais, hosts its traditional spring flea market every year. The event, organised by the Parents' Association (APE) with municipal support, is an important date for the village: both a charity highlight for funding the school's projects and a moment of village togetherness.

A village-centre format

Private sellers set up in the village centre, around the main square and lanes. The flea market remains modest in size — a few dozen sellers — which makes it human-scale, ideal for bargain hunters looking for a relaxed atmosphere, far from the rush of big urban events.

What you can find

The offer is typical of a village flea market: crockery, adult and children's clothing, toys, books, board games, baby items, vinyl records, small décor, small furniture, tools. Knowledgeable bargain hunters sometimes find lovely pieces, old crockery or rustic Quercy furniture. Prices stay very accessible.

A child-scale day

The APE organisation gives the day a family-friendly feel. Coffee and pastries in the morning, on-site catering, bar run by parent volunteers: all proceeds go to the village school's projects (school outings, nature classes, teaching materials, events).
