Montbard Car Boot Sale

In June 2025, the Place de la Pépinière Royale hosted the annual Montbard car boot sale, organized by the Twin Town Committees. From 8 am to 7 pm, treasure hunters from Auxois and Châtillonnais browsed the exhibitors' stalls, finding antique crockery, clothing, toys, books, and collector's items on this vast tree-lined esplanade.

The exceptional setting of Montbard, at the foot of Buffon's Park created by the famous naturalist, offered a green and pleasant backdrop for this summer treasure hunting day. Food and drinks, provided by the volunteers of the Twin Town Committees, allowed visitors to refresh themselves throughout the day.

This annual event confirms its place among the popular events of Montbard life, combining the pleasure of treasure hunting with the discovery of the rich heritage of this sub-prefecture of Côte-d'Or, crossed by the Brenne river and marked by Buffon's legacy.
