A 40-year-old garage sale tradition organised by the town hall in the heart of this Val-d'Oise village
Moisselles is a small village of around 2,000 residents in the Val-d'Oise, about 20 kilometres north of Paris. Despite its modest size, the commune has an active community life and an engaged local authority. Evidence of this is the municipal garage sale that the Mairie de Moisselles has organised every spring for over 40 years, making it one of the oldest and most established open-air events in the area.
The event takes place at 5 rue du Moutier, from 8:30am to 5pm. It gathers between 50 and 100 sellers, mostly private individuals, who bring furniture, clothing, toys, crockery and miscellaneous objects. Entry is free for visitors. A refreshment stand and toilets are available on site, with parking nearby.
The 40th edition of the Moisselles garage sale in 2026 was marked with particular pride. Over four decades this event has connected generations of Moisselles families, who return year after year to buy and sell. It reflects the attachment of small Île-de-France villages to their outdoor community traditions.
Registrations are managed by the Mairie de Moisselles. Moisselles residents have priority until 12 April; registration opens to all individuals and non-food professionals from 13 April. Forms available on the town hall website.
