Fair of antiques and military equipment at the Metz Métropole Exhibition and Congress Centre
The Military Antiques Fair takes over the Metz Métropole Exhibition and Congress Centre (Metz Expo) every year, rue de la Grange aux Bois in Saint-Julien-lès-Metz. From 9 am to 4:30 pm, professional and amateur exhibitors offer a considerable selection of period military objects: regulation weapons, uniforms, helmets, medals, specialized books, postcards, figurines, and military toys.
This fair attracts collectors from all over the Grand Est region and beyond. The exhibitor fee is 25 euros per meter. Catering is available on site. The event is a must-attend for enthusiasts of military history and militaria.
Metz, the prefecture of Moselle, has a long military history. A garrison town since Roman times, annexed by Germany from 1871 to 1918 and then from 1940 to 1944, the city retains an exceptional military heritage: the Porte des Allemands, the forts of the Séré de Rivières system, and the imperial barracks in the station district.
Military Antiques Fair at the Metz Métropole Exhibition and Congress Centre (Metz Expo) on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 8 AM to 2 PM. An unmissable event for collectors in Lorraine, with admission at €5 and free parking.
On Sunday, June 14, 2026, Metz Expo hosts a new edition of the Military Antiques Fair, organized by Metz Expo Événements in the Eurométropole de Metz. From 8 AM to 2 PM, bargain hunters, collectors, and military history enthusiasts will browse the stands set up on the Grange aux Bois site to discover authentic pieces.
The offer covers a wide range of military antiques : badges, uniforms, period weaponry, collector's knives, clothing, medieval items (swords, breastplates, sabres), specialized books, postcards, helmets, canteens, and military everyday objects. Several regional historical associations — Musée du Fort Wagner, Forticat (Secteur Fortifié de la Ligne Maginot du Bois de Cattenom), Fort de Metz-Queuleu, and A.S.C.O.M.E.M.O — will complement the event with period costume exhibitions.
The fair is open to professional exhibitors, specialized antique dealers, and private collectors. Visitor admission remains fixed at €5, and on-site parking is free. The event takes place twice a year at Metz Expo, in January and then in June.
