Every year in June, the Mieux Vivre à Saint Paul association organises its garage sale along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Paul, one of the historic thoroughfares of Parthenay. This event, driven by a dynamic neighbourhood association, perfectly illustrates the community spirit that animates the inhabitants of this medieval city in Deux-Sèvres.

A Private Sellers' Garage Sale in a Historic Setting

The garage sale stretches along the Faubourg Saint-Paul, at the foot of the fortified town's remnants. Exhibitors, all private individuals from the neighbourhood and surroundings, set up their tables from the early hours to offer an eclectic inventory: children's toys, clothing, books, small furniture, ornaments, tools and decorative objects.
