Haut-Poitou's spring highlight

Latillé is a canton chief-town in Haut-Poitou, around 1,600 inhabitants, 25 km west of Poitiers. Every spring, Latillé animations runs its big Spring Market and garage sale, one of the most anticipated events of the season in this rural area. 2026 edition on Sunday 26 April, 9am-6pm, on the central square (7 rue du Docteur Roux) and adjoining streets.

Strong turnout

With 100-200 sellers depending on years, the event draws a large audience from Haut-Poitou, Neuvillois, north-western Vienne and even neighbouring Deux-Sèvres. Private and professional sellers alike offer everything a village brocante can deliver: bric-a-brac, dishware, antique furniture, textiles, toys, books, tools, collectibles.

A market and crafts side

Beyond the brocante, Latillé animations welcomes traders and producers: local food (cheese, wines, honey, jams, farm produce), craft makers (pottery, jewellery, textiles), landscape and horticulture (plants, gardening). This diversified side turns the day into a true family festival.

Latillé, a Haut-Poitou heritage town

Latillé retains remarkable built heritage: 11th-c. Notre-Dame Romanesque church (Historic Monument), old houses, halls, wash-house, mills. Crossed by the Auxance, at the heart of farming Haut-Poitou, a land of cereals, livestock and vineyards. A base for Ayron, Thurageau, Vouillé to the east, Boivre valley caves to the south, Marconnay castle nearby.

Bar, hot catering (grills, fries, sausages) and snacks (crêpes, sandwiches). Coffee, drinks, regional wine. Benches and tables for a break.
