Each summer, the Place de la République in Pont-Croix (29790) becomes a bucolic market thanks to the swap meet — plant swap organized by the local Diwan school. Combining traditional flea market finds with plant exchanges, this unique market attracts both bargain hunters and gardening enthusiasts.

An Open-Air Market on the Quays of Pont-Croix

The events take place outdoors at the Place de la République, offering a pleasant setting in the heart of the old town of Pont-Croix, with its picturesque alleys and remarkable architectural heritage. The market brings together between 50 and 130 exhibitors depending on the dates, offering a wide range of items: garden plants, flowers, cuttings, and seedlings, as well as trinkets, tableware, books, clothing, and antique objects. A refreshment stand and food service are available on-site throughout the day.

Several Dates in June, July, and August

The summer calendar offers several events spread across June, July, and August, allowing visitors passing through the Cap Sizun coast to enjoy this gathering multiple times. Each event is usually held on Sundays, from 9 am to 6 pm. The organization is managed by the Diwan school, a school with an immersive Breton language pedagogy, which uses these events to fund its associative activities.
