Every summer, the village of Cadouin, part of the commune of Le Buisson-de-Cadouin, hosts a car boot sale that brings together around 60 exhibitors in its historic squares and alleys. This village in the Périgord Pourpre is famous for its Cistercian abbey founded in the 12th century, whose flamboyant Gothic cloister is a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route.
The stalls are set up in the central streets and squares of the village, offering treasure hunters a pleasant stroll among the golden stone facades of the Périgord. The village, nestled in the Dordogne valley, benefits from a green environment and an authentic atmosphere that appeals to both locals and passing tourists.
The Cadouin car boot sale brings together about sixty exhibitors, mainly individuals, who offer a wide range of second-hand items: crockery, trinkets, clothing, books, toys, and furniture. The atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented, conducive to good deals and discoveries.
