Annual flea market and car boot sale in Martigné-Ferchaud, in the heart of the Marches de Bretagne
The flea market and car boot sale of Martigné-Ferchaud enlivens the streets of this small town of character in the southeast of Ille-et-Vilaine every spring. At the crossroads of Brittany, Anjou, and Maine, this event attracts bargain hunters and strollers to a town with a rich architectural heritage.
Martigné-Ferchaud (35640), labeled Petite Cité de Caractère, hosts its flea market and car boot sale every late May. Exhibitors take over the streets of the town center, at the foot of the Saint-Martin church and along the Forge pond. You can find clothing, tableware, tools, books, trinkets, antique furniture, collectibles, and various curiosities. The heritage setting — half-timbered houses, granite, and slate — gives this flea market a particularly charming atmosphere.
Located in the extreme southeast of Ille-et-Vilaine, on the border of Loire-Atlantique, Maine-et-Loire, and Mayenne, Martigné-Ferchaud is a village of 2,700 inhabitants nestled in a hedged landscape dotted with ponds and forests. The commune is known for its Forge pond, an old iron forge that gave the village its name, and for its hiking trails. The flea market attracts visitors from four departments.
Admission is free. Food and drinks are provided on-site by local associations with crêpes, galettes-saucisses (sausage crepes), and beverages. Parking is available on the outskirts of the town.
The Martigné-Ferchaud flea market and car boot sale returns on May 30, 2026, in the town center.
