A monthly meet in the Comtat Venaissin

The Valayans hamlet, part of Monteux in northern Vaucluse, runs a flea market every second Saturday of the month, now a fixture of local life. From 8am to 1pm, locals and hunters gather around stalls in a village-style atmosphere, far from the bustle of major antique fairs.

This monthly format is rare for a hamlet and a real asset: regular visitors build ties with sellers and enjoy a constant refresh of items — the kind of event savvy thrifters keep in their diary.
