The spring brocante of the Broussan hamlet in Évenos
Run by the Ruche du Broussan association in a hilltop hamlet of the Évenos commune, this spring flea market draws hunters and families seeking authenticity. A friendly day between Var hills, vines and garrigue, with a refreshment stand, food and a Provençal village atmosphere.
Évenos has several faces: a medieval hilltop village overlooking the Ollioules gorges, and several hamlets scattered in the surrounding hills. Le Broussan, a discreet hamlet at the edge of the massif, is known for its calm, its almond trees and the warmth of its residents. There, the Ruche du Broussan association holds its spring and autumn flea market, beloved of genuine Provençal bargain hunters.
The Broussan market cultivates a village spirit: private sellers from surrounding hamlets, a few local dealers, many objects tied to traditional Provençal life. Rustic bric-a-brac, old tools, crockery, linen, books, toys, garden furniture, and sometimes fine pieces — santons, glazed pottery, old sugar bowls, local studio paintings.
The association animates village life year-round. Its members — residents, retirees, families — run the event with the seriousness of small Provençal communities. Set-up from 8am, warm welcome, careful layout. Vehicle pitch €20, pedestrian pitch €15. Contact: +33 6 70 08 38 03 or [email protected].
On-site refreshments and food let hunters pause and chat with locals. Pizzas, sandwiches, drinks and sometimes homemade specialities brought by volunteers. The setting — almond trees, garrigue, distant hills — is a major draw: few markets are held in such a natural gem.
La Ruche du Broussan usually holds two markets per year, one in spring (March) and one in late summer/autumn. A second March 2026 edition is also planned, making 15 March the hamlet's bargain-hunting season opener.
15 March 2026 edition held at the Broussan hamlet, Évenos, 8am-6pm. La Ruche du Broussan welcomed private sellers, hunters and families in a preserved natural setting. Refreshments, food, free parking and pitches at €20 (vehicle) or €15 (pedestrian). A first spring date before the second edition later in the year.
On Sunday 15 March 2026, the Broussan hamlet opened its brocante season. Loyal vendors and newcomers set out their stands under the soft spring light. Fans of genuine Provençal pieces found their happiness in the lanes while the association's stand kept the mood warm.
La Ruche du Broussan is already preparing its second event of the year, confirming the hunters' fondness for this small hamlet gathering.
