At Basses Courennes, on the heights of Saint-Martin-de-Castillon, the Bergerie de Berdine is much more than a place of sale. This association, created in 1973, welcomes people in great difficulty without time limit or financial counterpart. Over the years, the farm has developed multiple activities and a permanent flea market, the economic pillar of the site.
Year-round bargain hunting
Unlike occasional flea markets, this one runs continuously. Community members collect objects, furniture, books, tableware, tools, textiles and knick-knacks donated by individuals, companies or estates. Everything is sorted, cleaned, sometimes restored, then put up for sale.

The Berdine site, nestled in the eastern Luberon countryside, is worth the detour. Old stones, gardens, workshops, animals, chapel: the place exudes a warmly Provençal community farm atmosphere.
