Traditional May 1st gathering in the heart of Haut-Var
On Friday May 1, 2026, Montmeyan celebrates Labour Day with its annual flea market at the village hall and boules ground. In this small Haut-Var village close to the Verdon gorges, individuals and residents come to browse and empty their attics.
May 1st in Montmeyan, as in many Haut-Var villages, is the perfect occasion for an annual flea market. Nestled between Provence verte and the first hills of the Verdon, this village of about 540 inhabitants keeps a lively community tradition alive.
Unlike larger gatherings, the Montmeyan flea market keeps a village dimension. Individuals from the village and nearby communes display their bric-a-brac: crockery, clothes, toys, books, tools, small furniture.
The 2026 May 1st flea market in Montmeyan will take place on Friday May 1, true to its annual tradition. Individuals from Haut-Var will display their bric-a-brac in the authentic village atmosphere typical of Provençal rural flea markets.
Friday May 1, 2026, full day from 8am.
Salle polyvalente and boules ground, Montmeyan (83670).
