The spring rendezvous of the Breton-Vendée marshland
The Le Perrier flea market returns on Sunday 10 May 2026 in this village of the Breton-Vendée marshland, on the doorstep of Saint-Jean-de-Monts and the state forest. A friendly day of bargain hunting.
Le Perrier is a small village of about 1,800 in the Breton-Vendée marsh, a few kilometres from Saint-Jean-de-Monts. The annual flea market on Sunday 10 May 2026 is a major spring event. Private vendors lay out clothes, toys, tableware, bibelots, books, small furniture and tools.
10 May is ideal on the weekend in fine weather. The atmosphere is village-scale and friendly. Visitors come as much for the finds as for the nearby sea air.
Le Perrier lies in the Breton-Vendée marsh covering northwestern Vendée. The village keeps traces of its maraîchin past: bourrine huts, duck farming, flat landscape with canals. Close to the Monts state forest and the Saint-Jean-de-Monts beaches.
Not a mass event but a human-scale market where you take time to chat. Soft prices, sometimes surprising finds: marine pieces, old marsh tools, family tableware. Refreshments by local associations.
Continue to Saint-Jean-de-Monts for a seafront walk, or explore the marsh bourrines. Notre-Dame-de-Monts and its forest, Soullans or Sallertaine nearby.
