A car boot sale in the heart of Comminges

Each year in April, the Labarthe-Rivière football club organizes its annual car boot sale in this Comminges village of 1,300 inhabitants, located 6 km southwest of Saint-Gaudens. Exhibitors—individuals and flea market enthusiasts—offer furniture, clothing, toys, tools, books, and various items at attractive prices. The event attracts bargain hunters from all over the Saint-Gaudens area and the Garonne valley.

Labarthe-Rivière, a village between the Garonne and the Pyrenees

Labarthe-Rivière is a commune in Comminges located on the banks of the Garonne and the Saint-Martory canal, at the foot of the Pyrenees. The village is part of the Cœur et Coteaux du Comminges intercommunal community and benefits from a remarkable natural environment, between alluvial plain and wooded hills. Altitudes range from 257 to 403 meters, offering panoramas of the Pyrenean range. The inhabitants, called Bartains, are attached to their traditions and local community life.

Supporting local football

All profits from the car boot sale are donated to the football club to finance the purchase of equipment, team travel, and the activities of the football school. A refreshment stand and a catering area complete the offering, allowing visitors to eat while supporting the club. Labarthe-Rivière is easily accessible from Saint-Gaudens via the D8. Parking is available near the event venue. It is advisable to arrive early in the morning to get the best selection.
