Each summer, La Jonchère festival committee holds a flea market during its village fair. This friendly event brings together locals and visitors in a small southern Vendée village, between marshes and coast, for a day of treasure-hunting among antiques, furniture, crockery and everyday objects.

La Jonchère is a small rural commune of southern Vendée, in the Luçon canton, near the Marais Poitevin and the Baie de l'Aiguillon coastline. Each year, its festival committee organises a flea market as part of the village fair. The 2025 edition took place on Sunday 27 July in the village centre.
This summer flea market reflects a strong tradition of Vendée community life: village fairs that punctuate the year and bring generations together around popular entertainment. In La Jonchère, the flea market is one of the highlights, completed by the bar, country-style catering and musical entertainment that extend the festivities into the evening.

La Jonchère, gateway to southern Vendée
La Jonchère lies a few kilometres from Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits, in a rural zone where agriculture and green tourism coexist. Ideally located to radiate towards Luçon, Marais Poitevin or the Vendée coast (Jard-sur-Mer, La Tranche-sur-Mer, Longeville-sur-Mer) within twenty minutes. Its church and typical village centre offer an authentic setting.
Access and parking
Via D747 from Luçon, or D949 from Les Sables-d'Olonne. Free parking in the village, signposting in place by the committee.
Extending the day
After the flea market, visit the Baie de l'Aiguillon nature reserve, the Jard-sur-Mer beaches, or the classified village of Mareuil-sur-Lay. Luçon, Richelieu's former episcopal city, is worth a detour for its cathedral and Dumaine garden.
