The Car boot sale of La Couarde-sur-Mer: the solidarity hunt of May 1st

Every May 1st, the association Ré Handi Tennis organizes its car boot sale at Le Peu Ragot, a vast space located on avenue du Peux Ragot in La Couarde-sur-Mer. From 8 am to 6 pm, between 50 and 100 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, offer furniture, crockery, clothing, toys, and various items to early morning bargain hunters coming to enjoy this public holiday.

Ré Handi Tennis, a solidarity association

The association Ré Handi Tennis, based at impasse des Pertuis in Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, works to promote adapted tennis on the Île de Ré. By organizing this car boot sale, the association finances its activities and raises public awareness about the accessibility of sport for all. Registration is done by mail with payment to the order of the association, and the pitch is only confirmed upon receipt of payment.

La Couarde-sur-Mer, an authentic village between marshes and ocean

La Couarde-sur-Mer is an authentic village on the Île de Ré, nestled between the salt marshes and the large beach of the Anse de la Loge, one of the most beautiful on the island. This village of winegrowers and salt workers has retained its traditional character with its low houses with colorful shutters, its flowery lanes, and its bell tower visible from afar. Le Peu Ragot, a place name set back from the center, offers a natural and open space ideal for organizing the car boot sale.

Practical information

The car boot sale is held on May 1st from 8 am to 6 pm. Exhibitors set up from 6:30 am. Entry is free for visitors. The exhibitor fee is 5 euros per linear meter. Registration is final upon receipt of payment to the order of Ré Handi Tennis. Toilets are available on site.
