Every Saturday and Sunday, the parking lot of the Hippodrome de la Crau in Salon-de-Provence transforms into a vast open-air car boot sale. Organized by the association Troc Kool 13, this weekly event has quickly become a major gathering for bargain hunters in the Bouches-du-Rhône region. A Unique Setting in Provence

The Hippodrome de la Crau is an iconic site in Salon-de-Provence, founded in 1886 and located along the RN113, avenue Luc Alabouvette. The car boot sale takes place in the adjacent parking lot, accessible via the entrance near the Bel Air waste disposal center, at the roundabout of the Domaine du Merle. Do not use the main hippodrome entrance on the industrial zone side, but the second entrance along the parking lots on the departmental road. The site offers a clear and easily accessible space, just a few minutes from the center of Salon-de-Provence.

What to Find at the Car Boot Sale

The stands at the Hippodrome car boot sale offer a wide variety of second-hand items: clothing and accessories, tableware and decoration, toys and games, books and comics, small furniture, tools, knick-knacks and vintage items. Prices are negotiable and often very attractive, delighting regular bargain hunters and weekend strollers alike. The diversity of exhibitors ensures a constant renewal of finds from week to week.

Organization and Exhibitor Fees

Booking is mandatory for exhibitors, via SMS, Messenger, or WhatsApp to Troc Kool 13. A double-sided photocopy of the ID card is required. Placement is on a first-come, first-served basis under the solar panels. Fees vary depending on vehicle size: 12 euros for a passenger car, 15 euros for a van, 20 euros for a truck or camper van, with an additional 5 euros for a trailer. Payment is made on-site before placement, with exact change appreciated.

Visitor Catering and Parking

A pizza truck and a refreshment stand are available on-site for visitors to eat. Visitor parking is free, covered, and secure, with approximately 200 spaces available. Parking is strictly prohibited along the outer road, under penalty of a fine and immediate towing. Entry is free for all visitors.
