Montrond-les-Bains, a renowned spa town in the Forez plain, hosts its big car boot sale every September at Stade Chavanne. This major event attracts between 200 and 300 exhibitors, mixing individuals and professionals, making it one of the most important flea market events in the area.

Stade Chavanne, located on rue des Montagnes du Soir, offers a large flat area ideal for hosting the numerous stalls. Bargain hunters can enjoy the proximity of the town center and its shops, as well as the thermal park. The town, dominated by the ruins of its medieval castle, offers a picturesque setting for this outdoor bargain hunting day.

Catering and conviviality

The organizers offer on-site catering from early morning with traditional tripe, a popular specialty among regulars. A bar and catering are available throughout the day. Exhibitor pitches are charged at €2.50 per linear meter, an attractive rate that explains the event's success.

Practical and accessible

Entry is free for visitors. Exhibitors can set up from 5 am. The car boot sale runs from 6 am to 5:30 pm, leaving plenty of time to hunt for clothes, toys, crockery, furniture, vinyl records, and collectibles offered on the stalls.
