About Brocante Printemps Lorris

Every second Sunday in April, the Lorris Festival Committee enlivens the streets and squares of the town center for the Spring Flea Market and Car Boot Sale. Flea market exhibitors and individuals meet in this medieval village in the Gâtinais, while a funfair is set up on Place Saint-Nicolas and Place du Mail. Free entry, information at 07 44 56 41 40.

The Lorris Spring Flea Market and Car Boot Sale: treasure hunting and festivities in a medieval village

Lorris is one of the most charming towns in the Loiret, rich in exceptional medieval heritage: its Romanesque church of Saint-Étienne, one of the most beautiful in the region, its historic town hall, and its preserved alleyways bear witness to a thousand-year history. It is in this magnificent setting that the Festival Committee organizes the Spring Flea Market and Car Boot Sale every second Sunday in April.

The streets and squares of the town center invaded by the flea market

On the day of the event, the streets and squares of the historic center of Lorris are transformed into a vast second-hand market. Professional flea market exhibitors rub shoulders with private sellers to offer their items at attractive prices. The treasure hunting route winds through the medieval alleyways, creating a unique atmosphere that combines the charm of the old with the vitality of the flea market.

The funfair, an additional attraction

In parallel with the flea market, a funfair is set up on Place Saint-Nicolas and Place du Mail. Rides for children and adults, attractions of all kinds, and candy stalls liven up these two central squares of Lorris to create a festive atmosphere that goes beyond the car boot sale itself. This dual entertainment is one of the characteristics that distinguish the Lorris Spring Brocante from similar events in the region.

The Lorris Festival Committee, a committed organizer

The Lorris Festival Committee is the association that drives the cultural and festive life of the town. Its involvement in organizing two annual flea markets (spring and autumn) demonstrates its dynamism and its ability to unite residents around popular events. For information, the committee can be reached at 07 44 56 41 40 or by email at [email protected].

Lorris and the Forêt d'Orléans

Lorris is the northeastern gateway to the Forêt d'Orléans, the largest state-owned forest in France. This privileged position makes it a popular tourist stop between Paris and the Loire, and explains the diversity of visitors who frequent its summer and spring events.
