The FNATH Car Boot Sale on the Île d'Amour in Langeac

Langeac is the capital of the Val d'Allier canton, in Haute-Loire, a commune of about 4,000 inhabitants nestled in the Allier valley, between the spectacular gorges carved by the river and the agricultural plateaus of the Margeride. On the outskirts of the town, the Île d'Amour is an exceptional natural site formed by a meander of the Allier, a popular leisure area for locals and tourists alike.

FNATH, the historic organizer

The Langeac section of the FNATH — National Federation of Injured Workers and the Disabled — is a committed player in local life. Every year, for the 14th of July, it organizes its car boot sale on the Île d'Amour, which has become a traditional event for the national holiday in Langeac. This event allows the association to finance its support activities for injured workers and disabled people while offering a moment of festive conviviality to the entire population.

A unique natural setting: the Île d'Amour

The Île d'Amour is the ideal setting for a summer car boot sale: the murmur of the Allier, the trees that shade the site, the coolness of the water's edge, and the panorama of the gorges make this place an incomparable setting for bargain hunting. From 8 am to 5 pm, exhibitors and visitors meet in this generous nature for a convivial market day. The 14th of July, the national holiday, gives the event a special festive tone.

Prices and registration

Prices are differentiated between individuals (€6 for 3 meters) and professionals (€12 for 3 meters). Entry is free for visitors. Registrations are open from June 13th with the FNATH of Langeac (06 03 46 13 61 or 06 24 60 81 00 — [email protected]). Refreshments and food are provided on site by the association's volunteers.
