A car boot sale at the heart of the Apple Festival

Every first Sunday of November, the village of Sainte-Feyre comes alive for the Apple Festival, an autumn event that has become a true institution in Creuse. The car boot sale, reserved for individuals, is one of the major components of this festival which brings together around 100 exhibitors and thousands of visitors in the village streets, near Guéret.

The Apple Festival, a Creuse tradition

The Sainte-Feyre Apple Festival celebrates the emblematic fruit of the Limousin autumn through a market of local producers and artisans. You can find apples of old and local varieties, freshly pressed apple juice, fruit trees to plant, and traditional black pudding in all its forms: black pudding with onions, chestnuts, apples, and Creole black pudding. This gourmet festival brings together producers and artisans from Creuse for a day dedicated to local produce.

A thirty-year-old event

With its 31st edition in 2025, the Sainte-Feyre Apple Festival demonstrates a tradition firmly rooted in the festive calendar of Creuse. The Comité des Fêtes organizes this event with the support of local producers, associations, and volunteers from the commune. The car boot sale, gradually integrated into the program, complements the offering with an accessible and friendly flea market space.

A unique autumn atmosphere

The Apple Festival offers a special atmosphere, with the colors of the Creuse autumn, the aromas of grilled black pudding and hot apple juice, and the lively stalls of the car boot sale. Visitors stroll between the producers' stands and the individuals' pitches, enjoying a full day of discovery and conviviality in the village of Sainte-Feyre.
