Large flea market and old crafts fair in La Celle-Guénand, one of the most important in Centre-Val de Loire with 450 exhibitors
The Brocante and Craft Fair of La Celle-Guénand is one of the largest events of its kind in Centre-Val de Loire, bringing together up to 450 exhibitors and a village of artisans. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes, this unique day combines a large-scale flea market, demonstrations of old crafts, and art craftsmanship, in conjunction with the Museum of Tools and Old Crafts which houses an exceptional collection of 6,500 antique tools.
La Celle-Guénand, a small village in southern Indre-et-Loire, organizes one of the largest flea markets in Centre-Val de Loire every summer. With up to 450 exhibitors — flea market professionals, antique dealers, and individuals — the event attracts thousands of visitors from all over the region and beyond. The village streets are transformed into a huge open-air flea market, where you can find antique furniture, crockery, tools, books, vinyl records, toys, and collectibles from all eras.
The originality of this event lies in its village of artisans and old crafts that coexists with the flea market. Blacksmiths, basket makers, clog makers, cobblers, weavers, and other craftsmen of yesteryear bring to life before the public's eyes age-old skills threatened with extinction. This heritage dimension is supported by the remarkable Museum of Tools and Old Crafts in La Celle-Guénand, which preserves an exceptional collection of 6,500 antique tools, the oldest dating back to the 17th century.
The flea market and craft fair is accompanied by on-site catering offering sandwiches, full meals, and drinks, as well as numerous activities throughout the day. The atmosphere is festive and popular, in the spirit of the great village festivals of Touraine. La Celle-Guénand, nestled in the hills of southern Touraine between Preuilly-sur-Claise and Le Grand-Pressigny, is an authentic village where time seems to have stood still, offering visitors a complete change of scenery two hours from Paris.
The 28th Brocante and Craft Fair returns in July 2026 to La Celle-Guénand. 450 exhibitors, artisan village, entertainment, and catering. Free admission.
