About Brocante Blois Bridge

The brocante on the Blois bridge is an exceptional event that takes over the famous Jacques-Gabriel bridge each summer, closed to car traffic for the occasion. Around 150 to 300 exhibitors - individuals, professionals, and collectors - set up their stalls on the bridge with a panoramic view of the Loire. Organized by Les Vitrines de Blois, this flea market offers a unique setting.

A flea market on the Jacques-Gabriel bridge

The Brocante on the Blois bridge is one of the most original events in Loir-et-Cher. The Jacques-Gabriel bridge, a magnificent 18th-century structure spanning the Loire, is completely closed to traffic to welcome exhibitors and visitors.

A unique setting for bargain hunting

Imagine: dozens of stalls arranged on a historic bridge, with the Loire flowing below and the Royal Château of Blois in the background. From antique tableware to vintage furniture, including books, art objects, and bric-a-brac, you can find everything at this ephemeral flea market.

A popular event

Organized by the association Les Vitrines de Blois, this flea market brings together between 150 and 300 exhibitors depending on the edition. The open-air format on the bridge, with refreshments and food available on site, makes it a popular family outing for locals and tourists visiting the Loire Valley.

The Jacques-Gabriel bridge, a historic monument

The Jacques-Gabriel bridge, built between 1717 and 1724, is one of the most beautiful bridges in the Loire Valley. 283 meters long, it spans the Loire with 11 elegant arches. Classified as a historic monument, it offers an exceptional view of the Royal Château of Blois, the Saint-Louis Cathedral, and the quays on the left bank. Closing this bridge to traffic to host a flea market is an event in itself, transforming this thoroughfare into a unique space for discovery and conviviality.

What can be found on the bridge

Exhibitors offer a very wide range of items: antiques and professional flea market finds are mixed with private individuals' bric-a-brac. Vintage furniture, antique tableware, art objects, rare books, vinyl records, retro clothing, costume jewelry, and curiosities of all kinds are displayed along the entire length of the bridge. The view of the Loire below adds a unique dimension to the bargain hunting experience.

A unifying event

Organized by the association Les Vitrines de Blois, the flea market on the bridge has become a major event at the end of the Blois summer. It attracts both residents of the urban area and tourists passing through the Loire Valley. Refreshments and food available on site, set up near the bridge, allow visitors to eat while admiring the Loire panorama. It is an event that perfectly illustrates the commercial and cultural dynamism of the city of Blois.
