Every May 1st, the village of Petit-Noir hosts its traditional car boot sale organized by the association Les Caracoins. Up to 80 exhibitors set up at Le Saulçois, along Rue Lavigne, to offer the contents of their attics to bargain hunters from the Bresse jurassienne and the Doloise plain.

Le Saulçois, the communal hall located at 38 Rue Lavigne, regularly hosts the village's festive and associative events.

Bargains from dawn

Exhibitors begin setting up at 6 am, and the doors open to visitors at 7 am. The pitch, costing only €1 per linear meter, is accessible to all budgets. Exhibitors can park their vehicles behind their stands, making loading and unloading easier. The offerings are typical of country car boot sales: crockery, clothing, toys, garden tools, trinkets, and curiosities of all kinds.
