The summer flea market of Saint-Denis-de-Jouhet takes over the village center of this southern Indre village for a festive day combining flea market and traditional fair. Exhibitors offer furniture, tableware, pottery, old tools, books, toys, trinkets, clothing, embroidered linens, and various attic items. The fair also hosts stallholders, artisans, and local producers who complement the offerings with products from the Berry region.
Saint-Denis-de-Jouhet is a commune of about 900 inhabitants located in the south of Indre, a few kilometers from the Lake Éguzon, the "Mer du Berry". This dam lake on the Creuse, with its 312 hectares of water, is one of the main tourist attractions in the department. The village is also located near Argenton-sur-Creuse and the spectacular Creuse valley, whose wooded gorges inspired the Impressionist painters. Admission is free and a meal is offered upon reservation.
