Village car boot sale in Boischaut Sud

Each year, the village of Vicq-Exemplet (36400) hosts its annual car boot sale with around 60 exhibitors. Individuals and bargain hunters meet in the village streets to exchange, negotiate, and find clothes, toys, trinkets, tableware, books, small furniture, and everyday items at low prices. The atmosphere is that of a real country flea market, where everyone knows each other and exchanges are warm.

Vicq-Exemplet is a rural commune of less than 400 inhabitants, nestled in the Boischaut Sud, this hilly region of southern Indre characterized by its hedgerows, meadows, and oak woods. The village is located between La Châtre and Aigurande, in a bucolic landscape dear to George Sand, who celebrated these countrysides in her pastoral novels. The Romanesque church and half-timbered farms bear witness to a preserved rural heritage.
