Every Easter Monday, the Comité des Fêtes de Lisieux organizes its big Easter Car Boot Sale in the streets of the town. This spring event marks the beginning of the flea market and car boot sale season in Normandy, attracting bargain hunters and strollers for a day of discoveries and good deals in the heart of Lisieux.

A Treasure Hunt Through the Streets of Lisieux

The sale mainly takes place on Rue Fournet, between Rue Creton and the Intermarché roundabout (known as "Les Quatre Sonnettes"), with extensions into adjacent streets. This urban layout offers a pleasant walking route, amidst the Norman facades of the city center, between second-hand stalls and flea market stands.

A Popular and Friendly Event

From 100 to 200 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, offer a wide selection of items: clothing, furniture, tableware, toys, books, tools, decorative objects, and curiosities. Professionals are accepted upon request to avoid duplication. Food vendors are not allowed among the exhibitors.

The Gourmet Tradition of the Comité des Fêtes

As with all events organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Lisieux, on-site catering is provided by volunteers with their specialty: homemade fries and butcher's grilled meats. "Everything is homemade," announce the organizers, adding a gourmet touch to this Easter treasure hunt day.
