Cave de Cantarelle Flea Market in Saint-Maximin

A weekly institution in Provence Verte

In Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, the Cave de Cantarelle flea market has become one of the Var's most reliable Sunday rendezvous. Run by Le Capucin at 375 Ancien chemin de Pourrières (Garniers district), it is held every Sunday of the year with season-based hours: 5am-2pm from 1 May to 1 December, and 6am-2pm from 1 December to 1 May.

This consistency makes it a favourite hunting ground for locals from Saint-Maximin, Brignoles, Saint-Zacharie and Trets, as well as travellers crossing the Aix-Nice axis. Easy A8 access, free parking and simple but effective facilities complete the picture.

Private sellers and professional dealers

Cantarelle mixes private flea-market sellers and professional brocanteurs, so you find both modest bric-à-brac and more curated antique pieces. Sellers can book online via HelloAsso or sign up on site. From 1 January 2026, two check-in lines speed up seller installation.
