Flea market and car boot sale on the Place du Général de Gaulle in Buzançais, organized by the Association des Marchés
The Buzançais flea market, organized by the Association des Marchés, takes over the Place du Général de Gaulle every spring for a great day of treasure hunting. Professionals and individuals offer furniture, trinkets, tableware, and various objects in the lively setting of this small town in the Indre valley.
Every month of May, the Association des Marchés de Buzançais organizes a flea market and car boot sale on the Place du Général de Gaulle, in the heart of the town. From 6 AM to 6 PM, exhibitors, professionals and individuals, offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, tools, clothing, books, toys and bric-a-brac. The central square, lined with shops and cafes, offers a lively and practical setting for this popular event.
Buzançais is a commune of about 4,400 inhabitants located in the heart of the Indre valley, between Châteauroux and Tours. The town is crossed by the river Indre and retains interesting architectural heritage with its 12th-century medieval keep, its church, and its old houses. The weekly Friday morning market on the Place de Gaulle is renowned for the quality of its local products: poultry, cheeses, honey, strawberries, and seasonal vegetables.
The Buzançais flea market offers a wide variety of stalls and attracts treasure hunters from all over the canton. The proximity of food shops and cafes on the square makes it easy to find refreshments. Entry is free, a refreshment stand is available, and public restrooms are accessible.
The Buzançais flea market returns in May 2026 on the Place du Général de Gaulle.
