The bargain hunting event for Saint-Joseph school
Each spring, the APEL of Saint-Joseph school organizes its grand flea market at place du Tulmonenc in Saint-Étienne-de-Tulmont. From 8 AM to 5 PM, individuals and bargain hunters meet for a day of school solidarity. A fundraising event blending good deals, family atmosphere and on-site catering in this charming Bas Quercy village.
About ten kilometers northeast of Montauban, the village of Saint-Étienne-de-Tulmont hosts each year a large flea market organized by the APEL (Parents Association) of Saint-Joseph Catholic school. This event is an essential fundraising activity for the school, with proceeds going toward educational materials, school trips and pedagogical projects throughout the year.
Place du Tulmonenc, a vast space at the heart of the village, offers an ideal setting for many exhibitors. Across dozens of stands held mainly by individuals, you'll find the classic range: clothing, toys, board games, books, comics, dishes, small furniture, appliances, vinyl records, DVDs and childcare items.
What gives this flea market its particular charm is its solidarity dimension and the friendly atmosphere. Throughout the day, APEL volunteers serve refreshments and food with sausage sandwiches, fries and desserts. A €6 meal package is offered, ideal for hunters wishing to extend their visit.
