About Carreyrat Flea Market

Held at the Carreyrat community hall in Montauban by Les Deux L 82 and Les Blouses Roses 82, this spring flea market combines neighbourhood friendliness with charitable commitment. Limited to around forty pitches indoors and outdoors, it offers sellers a quiet setting and visitors a relaxed stroll, in a family atmosphere typical of Montauban's outer districts. Proceeds support a worthy cause.

A neighbourhood flea market with a charitable side

Tucked into the residential Carreyrat district, east of Montauban, this flea market takes over the local community hall every May. Jointly organised by Les Deux L 82 and Les Blouses Roses 82, it carries a strong charitable purpose: profits go towards supporting people made vulnerable by illness or isolation, the historic mission of the Blouses Roses.

A deliberately modest size

With only around forty pitches, including tables set up indoors in the community hall and a few linear meters outdoors, the event prioritises quality over quantity. Sellers, mostly locals from the neighbourhood and surrounding villages, lay out crockery, clothes, books, toys, family brocante and trinkets. The peaceful, chatty atmosphere allows real conversations between hunters and sellers, far from anonymous mega-markets.

Setting and atmosphere

Carreyrat, halfway between town and countryside, retains a village charm typical of Montauban's outer districts. The community hall, practical and well kept, hosts the covered section of the flea market, a real plus in case of a spring shower. The volunteer-run refreshment stand serves coffee, pastries and cold drinks all morning.

Why come

To support a good cause while hunting at gentle prices, to enjoy an intimate format away from city-centre crowds, or to discover an authentic Montauban district: the Carreyrat flea market ticks every box. Seasoned hunters know they can often find lovely pieces from the neighbourhood's family attics here.
