The car boot sale of the APE of Verdon-sur-Mer

The Parents' Association of Verdon-sur-Mer organizes a car boot sale each year for the benefit of the town's schools. This friendly event brings together the inhabitants of the tip of the Médoc around a common goal: to finance school trips, shows, and educational projects for the schools. The exhibitors, all private individuals, offer clothes, toys, books, trinkets, small furniture, and everyday items at low prices.

Verdon-sur-Mer, at the tip of the peninsula

Verdon-sur-Mer (33123) occupies a unique geographical position: it is the northernmost town on the Médoc peninsula, where the Gironde estuary meets the Atlantic Ocean. Dominated by the Cordouan lighthouse, "the Versailles of the seas" and a UNESCO World Heritage site, the town is also the departure port for the ferry that connects the Médoc to Royan and the Charente coast. With about 1,300 permanent residents, Verdon's population increases tenfold in the summer thanks to seaside tourism.
