Back-to-school car boot sale in the streets of La Guerche

The La Guerche car boot sale is a back-to-school event organized by the Club guerchois inter-âges. Private sellers set up their stalls in the town hall square, rue des Loges, rue des Granges, and rue de la Chatière to offer clothing, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, tools, small furniture, and various second-hand items. Many local producers complement the stalls with their specialties.

La Guerche, a small town in southern Touraine

La Guerche (37350) is a small commune in southern Touraine, located between Descartes and Le Grand-Pressigny, in the Creuse valley. This border village of Indre and Vienne preserves the remains of a medieval castle overlooking the Creuse, whose ruins offer a panorama of the valley. The Romanesque church and the old houses of the village bear witness to the historical importance of this stronghold at the borders of Touraine and Poitou. The Creuse valley, wild and wooded, is appreciated by fishermen and hikers.
