Amicale Laïque flea market

La Meilleraie-Tillay is a rural commune of about 1,700 inhabitants in the haut-bocage Vendée, between Pouzauges and Cerizay, close to Deux-Sèvres. Each September, the Amicale Laïque of La Pierre Bleue public school runs a flea market to fund educational projects and school trips.

The 2024 edition took place on Sunday 8 September 2024, using the back-to-school period to attract families clearing out after summer holidays. Registration on HelloAsso.

Amicales Laïques are parent associations that support public schools by organising events whose profits fund school activities: discovery classes, educational materials, cultural projects. La Meilleraie-Tillay's Amicale Laïque of La Pierre Bleue school is particularly active.

Part of Pays de Pouzauges community of communes, radiating around Pouzauges (10 min), Puy du Fou (25 min via Les Epesses), Cerizay (15 min). Rural heritage (church, calvaries, rolling landscapes) and active community life.
